How well does your deodorant work?
Once you are completely out of the transitional stage from chemical deodorants you will love the results of Prim and Primal healthy deodorant. Many customers have reported going 2 days and still smelling sweet!

What are essential oils?
Essential oils are highly concentrated extracts taken from plants, flowers, leaves, wood, roots, seeds, and fruit rinds.Used for thousands of years for emotional, physical, and mental well-being, it is a wonderful alternative to chemically-based fragrances. Essential oils dissipate more quickly than chemical fragrances so they may last a couple hours to several hours depending on the scent you choose. You will, however, not have any body odor due to the anti-bacterial effect of the deodorant.

I have a rash, itchiness, redness, and/or bumps. What is this?
Switching from chemical deodorants to homemade or natural deodorants can sometimes be a challenge. There may be a transition period of detox where you will experience some of these symptoms including an increase in body odor and/or sweating.

Although this can be uncomfortable or inconvenient, it is actually good to know that your body is getting rid of the toxins. Similar to a diet detox, symptoms sometimes get worse before they get better. You could sweat more before you sweat less, and you could smell worse before you smell better. It is a process that could take days, weeks, or even months but persevere! Be assured that one day you will be free from chemicals and sweet smelling with your new healthy deodorant.

How do I do an armpit detox?

2 ounce spray bottle
1 tablespoon organic apple cider vinegar (ACV)
Filtered water
5 drops Rosemary essential oil
5 drops Lavender essential oil
Add ACV to the bottle, then add water not quite to the top. Add essential oils. Shake before use.

Before going to bed, wash armpits, give the bottle of detox spray a shake, spray under each arm and leave on overnight. This will also help with PH balancing your skin.

In the morning rinse armpits with water, but try to avoid using soap which can upset the PH balance of your skin. Then apply a thin layer of honey and coconut oil. They are both wonderful for their antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. The honey will also help unclog your pores. It should also serve well with odor control during your detox period. Wear loose-fitting clothing. Repeat this process for at least one week.

After one week, apply a very small amount of Prim and Primal deodorant and see what happens. You can increase the amount of deodorant as you feel comfortable with its effectiveness. The good news is everything in Prim and Primal deodorant has soothing, gentle ingredients to help you ease into transition.

Will the temperature of the climate affect my deodorant?
If it is more firm in a cool environment, simply hold it under your arms for a few seconds or warm with your fingertips before applying. If it is too soft in a warmer environment, simply pop it in the fridge for 30 minutes and it will be perfect.

Prim and Primal is all about the healthy healthy and preventing the natural flushing function of sweat from the body to eliminate toxins is not healthy.
